Born October 17, 1978, Adil is a graduate of the International Relations department of the Almaty State University, holding a Ph.D. in Political Science. He has worked for international organizations in Almaty and Moscow. Since 2007 he has been the director of the Competitiveness Research Center (http://www.rating-kz.info), the Central Asia regional editor for Global Voices Online (http://www.globalvoicesonline.org), and Kazakhstan coordinator for neweurasia. In his many capacities he has been a participant of several international conferences and author of numerous research papers and articles. An active internet enthusiast, in 2007 Adil was named Kazakhstan’s best blogger by MediaNet/Soros and Hivos.
