Event announcement: OSCE Chairman Kanat Saudabayev speaks on geopolitics in Eurasia

Washington, D.C. — Kanat Saudabayev, Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE and Secretary of State and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, will join the Atlantic Council on February 3 to discuss geopolitics in Eurasia. He will address Eurasian economic integration and energy security; the U.S. role in Eurasia and Afghanistan; relations with the region’s neighbors; Eurasia as part of European security; and Kazakhstan’s priorities for the OSCE. The Minister’s remarks will be particularly timely following Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s statement last Friday on U.S. commitment to the OSCE.
Atlantic Council Chairman Senator Chuck Hagel will introduce Minister Saudabayev, and Frederick Kempe, President and CEO of the Atlantic Council, will moderate the Q&A discussion. For more information, please visit the Atlantic Council website.
