Artists from Kyrgyzstan will take part in Art Dubai 2014 fair

Talented Kyrgyz citizens will take part in the international art fair Art Dubai 2014 which takes place March 19-22, 2014, in Dubai (UAE).

Art Dubai 2014 exhibition presents 87 galleries from 36 countries. Works of more than five hundred artists from around the world will be placed under the specialized programs. Except such sections as Contemporary, Modern and Marker, the art fair also includes so-called residences of artists and curators.

Visitors will have an opportunity to see the works which will be created by the participants from different countries. There also will be an international Global Art Forum.

Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will present Central Asia within the framework of Marker section. This year the Marker section is dedicated to the art of Central Asia and the Caucasus. The aim of the organizers is to demonstrate the role of art fair as a place for research, discoveries and multicultural exchange.

Kyrgyzstan will be presented by the “ArtEast” art gallery. Non-governmental organization “ArtEast” supports the development of modern art and creative community in Kyrgyzstan. It was founded in 2002 by the artists Gulnara Kasmalieva and Muratbek Dzhumaliev. They also run a School of Contemporary Art in Kyrgyzstan ArtEast and were curators of well-known Bishkek International Exhibitions of Contemporary Art.
