On 22nd  of January Javonon Cinema of Dushanbe has hosted  a  film screening Girl Rising by Richard E. Robbins. The film is telling about the importance of education for girls through telling personal stories of nine girls that were born poverty.

The event-screening was open by Ambassador Susan M. Elliott with the welcoming speech.

I have to say that the film stories are quite actual to Tajik society with girls limited access to different social benefits.  The film is quite emotional and it was hard for me to keep from crying. But to my opinion the films is absulitazing  the role of education too much. As it is told on the film  there 600 million girl in need of education around the world  the world  economy will change if we will give them education. It is not quite clear for me how it will happen but I advice to watch the film to find out.
