On August, 24 an annual event Global Village was held in Bishkek. International organization of young professionals AIESEC in Kyrgyzstan is the initiator and organizer of the event.

The cultural event was held in one of the Shopping Centers in Bishkek. Starting in the morning, delegations all day entertained the audience with a variety of performances and competitions. Visitors of the Global Village were acquainted with the customs, dances, traditional clothes and national food of over than 20 countries of the world. Representatives of Ukraine, Japan, China, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Caucasus, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Cuba and other countries have prepared colorful performances, where they were presenting their nation and culture. There were also the tables with national souvenirs and regales brought by the foreign participants.

“This is the second Global Village, and this year we have managed to bring foreign students from 20 countries, who have worked in four summer camps for children. Children were able to communicate with the foreigners, to practice their English, and to ask questions. They learned lots of new and interesting things about the other countries. Next year we would like to bring more people from different countries,”- said the organizer of the event, Zeynep Bopoeva.

One of the foreign visitors, citizen of Pakistan, said that he arrived in Kyrgyzstan for the first time. He has worked as a volunteer at the summer camp in Issyk-Kul, and he was very pleased with the friendliness of the local people and the beauty of nature.

“Kyrgyzstan is a very beautiful country, and I believe that it will continue to develop. First time I heard about it through the AIESEC organization, and then I read the information about Kyrgyzstan in the Internet. I learned that it is located not so far from us, and I immediately wished to visit this country. Kyrgyzstan has very beautiful mountains, but Issyk-Kul Lake is the most memorable beauty here”, – said the guest from the sunny Pakistan.
