Have you ever seen Islam Karimov dancing? Probably not. Here is an exclusive video where Karimov dances to traditional song. Enjoy Mr. President’s dance, though he is obviously not a good dancer :)

Well I’ll be damned, Karimov has a little boogy down in that autocratic soul of his. Would have been nice, though, to see him out on the floor doing the knee dance, shaking his booty to the folk song jam….

I was hoping for a bit more from the post title, but I’ll have to happy with a little bit of straight-arming and happy clapping. Then again, it isn’t usually the Uzbek men that do all of the dancing. It’s definitely the women’s place to shine, including when they imitate male dancers…
Also, it’s not often you see video of these big concerts and dance spectacles with people Actually Smiling and Looking Happy. Seems like it’s always a grinning superstar or comedian, and a crowd of sober, straight-faced men in business suits and bored women… but this time, there were a lot of happy people. Wonder what the difference was…?

they should not have changed the melody to such a quick one, perhaps we would see more of the dance. two or so months later while his visit to Khorezm he danced again. there are some pics on internet if you search. btw, it was the same singer, he danced with there.
