International award ceremony “Jilo” was held in Dushanbe

The results of international contest “Jilo” were announced in Dushanbe on April 12. The award “Jilo” is given annually since 2012 for the contribution in art and culture of Persian-speaking nations.

Guests and musicians from Afghanistan, Iran, and young singer and model from UAE Yasmina Alidodova were invited to the ceremony.

Award was given in 12 nominations: the best male and female singer, song, music video, theatrical performance, actor, actress, the best TV show, TV journalist, radio show, radio journalist, the best Eastern song of the year.

For every category, there were three nominees. Then, March 1, the next stage has started – voting via SMS. Every resident of Tajikistan and Afghanistan could vote for favorite artist. Winners were awarded with diplomas and traditional statuette of blue crystal.

Impressive fashion show from famous Tajik designer Umed Kutchkaliev has opened the award ceremony. Kids’ and women’s outfits by Umed are made in traditional Tajik national style. “The whole collection is hand-made. It was a long and thorough work, done special for the ceremony”, says Umed.

The founder of “Jilo” is Khabiba Daminzoda, successful Tajik producer. Award is held with support from Tajik national TV channel “TVS” (Television Safina).

The list of the winners of “Jilo”:

“Contemporary and pop music”
1. The best male singer of the year – Nobovar Janorov;
2. The best female singer of the year – Mehrinigori Rustam;
3. The best song of the year – Nigora Kholova;
4.  The best music video of the year – Sadriddin Najmiddin (video “Gulnoz”) and Nigina Amonkulova (video “Muhabbati tu”).
“Theater”
5. The best theatrical performance – “Shabe dur az Vatan”;
6. The best actor – Shuhrat Rakhmatulloev;
7. The best actress – Mokhpaikar Yorova.
“TV and radio”
8. The TV show of the year – Zafar Saidov, show “Sirisht” on “Safina” TV channel;
9. The best radio journalist – Sharif Mirsaidzod, radio “Tojikiston”;
10. The best radio show – Bekhruz Shahrier, “Salom, diyoram” show on “Asia-Plus” radio;
11. The best TV journalist – Akhliddin Tokhir, “Jahonnamo” TV.
Special
12. The best Eastern song of the year – Sadik Shubob and Nigora Kholova.

In addition, special awards were given to Yasmina Alidodova for “The debut of the year” and Afghani singer Farkhodi Dare for “Superstar of Persian stage”.
