Museum Night 2014 in Dushanbe

This year for the second time in its story the National Museum of Tajikistan is taking part in an international event Museum Night. The doors of the museum will open its doors and charge no admission  on 18th of May 2014 from 6 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The  press release of the Museum Night tells:

The multi -event program of the Museum Night is created and realized in cooperation  with several public organizations and initiative groups from Dushanbe.  The Museum Night -  Night of Arts  2014 unites representatives of different arts such as music, cinema, handicrafts,  fashion, and many others. The museum visitors will have an opportunity to participate at master–classes on creation of tradition handicraft products facilitated by the Union of Handicraftsmen of Tajikistan. The representatives of theater Festival “Nigohi Nav” will show a small theatre performance and conduct a theatre master-class.  Bactria Cultural Centre and young film directors from Tajikistan will present documentary films about music culture of Tajikistan.  Moreover, an open artistic stage will be provided  for any artistic activities honoring the 90th anniversary of Dushanbe.

Children of pre-school and school ages will have a chance to participate in the master-classeson “painting on ceramics” organized by internet portal «Tajikmama.tj» and “DastbaDast”. Volunteers of“Alegria”and “Peshraft” will entertain the visitors with quizzes and the winners will get prizes. Professional musicians will conduct master-classes on traditional music instruments. Also there will be a portable planetarium placed in the yard of the museum.

The Museum Night will start earlier than May 18th in Dushanbe. On May 17thGurminj museum of musical instrument  will host a concert by Swedish  music band VED.

All the events in the framework of Museum Night – Night of Arts will be organized by the National Museum of Tajikistan, Union of Handicraftsmen of Tajikistan, initiative  “Tajikmama.tj”, PO “Alegria”, PO “Peshraft”, Bactria Cultural Centre, Gurminj museum of musical instruments, Theatrical Festival “NigohiHav”

Themuseum will charge no admission only starting from 6 p.m. on 18th of May 2014.
