Translation of ankona‘s post (RUS).

14From 23 January to 1 February the Alliance Francaise in Almaty will host an exhibition by R. Marat dedicated to the works of Cioran, Becket and Ionesco.

Emil Cioran, Eugene Ionesco and Samuel Becket were three 20th century figures who had a profound influence on French culture, using a unique approach to the French language to express the nature of the irrational.

“Paradise Lost” is an opportunity to see the ideas, thoughts and images of Cioran, Ionesco and Becket in a new visual form. The works presented have a ghostly quality, conveying man’s endless struggle with an impossible force, in which nothing remains but faith.
