Uzbekistan created the first feature-length film in the 3D format – “Papagandus”. Fantasy from Uzbekistan in 3D – you already intrigued? Watch the trailer!

Well… At first sight – very weird name for the movie. Do you think so? Especially for Russian-speaking person. “Papa” sounds close to Russian “popa” which means “ass”, and “gandus” is close to russian version of “condom” word. So, Russian spectators are really discouraged! Director of this movie decided to start screenings on Uzbek and Russian languages. And he expect that somebody will come with this title – “Papagandus”? Very weird. NewEurasia has two more versions: at first, “papagan” is close to Turkish word which means “parrot”. At second, it close to “propaganda” word. And last version can be real – we can see on official website (be careful!), that government structures supported this movie.

However, the filmmakers themselves admit that their film in the style of “fantasy” promotes propaganda of friendship, love for the mother, feats, and loyalty. Well, not bad goals for the propaganda.

But quality of the “Propagandus” force us to smile. NewEurasia very afraid for their readers, publishing the trailer of the movie. Please remove pregnant women and children from your room, when you will watch it!

I’m sure that the fans “Propagandus” will reproach us that we’re laughing on this film. They might say: “This is the first film in 3D, the next will be better!”. Maybe so. But, thrash is thrash. Believe me, there are lot of great directors, experts in CGI-graphics, editors, and just people with artistic taste in Uzbekistan. They would never have made the film in the style of “Oh, we bought Adobe After Effect, let’s try all effects that it has!”.

Uzbekistan can make a good movie, we have much to be proud of. But “Propagandus”, apparently, few people will remember a month after screenings.

To be fair, almost every movie made in the west for 3D is also vapid overuse of special effects, the only difference is slightly higher budget.
