Translation of mursya’s post (RUS)

1Inessa Shlapak and I recently led a series of training sessions in new media for bloggers and journalists. The project was supported by neweurasia.net/ru.

As always, we partnered up with KIMEP and our barcamp friends – a trustworthy team of half-timers.

2Two weeks of long-distance organization (I was in Zurich, the project manager was in Prague, and the team in Almaty), a couple posts on yvision.kz and BAM! – we have over 60 applications in the mail. We usually invite no more than 20 people; however, this time we decided not to turn anyone down, but instead do more good and expand the schedule by dividing everyone into two groups and inviting more trainers.

3Thank you to everyone who helped out and read their very interesting lectures: Baurzhan Suleimenov @subaur, Stas Ignatov @smerchkz, Alisher Yelikbaev Shlang, Gulnara Bazhkenova bazhkenova, Zhanna Prashkevich @laralarkin, Ken Harvey, John Couper, Inessa Shlapak @Agnessa, Diana Smail @dianasmail, Vyacheslav Abramov @slavasav, and Sveta Grudnitskaia.

4Upon completion of the seminar, everyone who wanted to receive a certificate from Prague in the mail had to write an essay about a new form of communication, describing its pros and cons, publish it and forward it to us. After a selection process, we decided to award 14 certificates. The recipients did a wonderful job discussing the topics! (You can find links to their essays at neweurasia.net under the “Kazakhstan” section).

5A big, heartfelt thank-you goes out to all the participants for their letters, kind words and interest! I am happy to continue answering your questions, informing you about upcoming projects, and having our friendly chats. Over the course of these two days we really became more like a family!

And here, you’ll find pictures from the seminar: picasaweb.google.com/mursya (if you were there and took pictures or posted something, share your links in the comments section).
