Dushanbe botanical garden, part 2

You’ll find part one here.

Some trees are wrapped in lianas, which suffocate their flexible trunks.

Others are covered in ivy. You can see almost none of the bark.

The park covers several dozen hectares, so there is plenty of walking space. The numerous alleys, which crisscross the area, take you deep into the wilderness and then suddenly back onto the main path.

Besides the beautiful view, the Botanical Garden contains figurines of various animals and statues made of wood. At times, it seems as though you’ve wandered into a museum. There are no cigarette butts lying around, no trash scattered, and no parked vehicles. It is an ecologically clean and well-protected area.

People come here to hold hands and enjoy the romantic environment, take a jog in the clean air, spend some time alone to think about life, or just to marvel at nature.

In the distance, if you walk up a little path, you come across a beautiful structure with chandeliers and columns. It is a veranda of sorts, which is covered in polyethylene for the winter.

On the inside, it looks like a palace, lit up by the midday sun, whose rays dance on the crystal chandeliers. Gorgeous! A palace for those who like calm and quiet, and are tired from the commotion of city life.

The Botanical Garden also contains a village, where one can see traditional Tajik culture in action, including elements of domestic life. Although no one lives in the garden, when you see these little houses and watermills, it looks as though their owners had just stepped out for a minute.
I strongly recommend you find the time to visit this place. It leaves behind nothing but good memories.
