Translation of Nuraika’s post (RUS)
Dushanbe is situated in the Gissar Valley, on the river Dushanbinka, surrounded by mountains and picturesque gardens. It is a green city with lots of alleys lined with elm and maple trees.
One of the city’s main attractions is the Central Botanical Garden, which belongs to Tajikistan’s Academy of Sciences, and holds over 4500 varieties of plants from all over the world.
The entrance is decorated with various mosaics and pictures of kings. It is a palatial archway, adorned with an eastern-style dome, just like out of a fairytale.
The entrance fee is symbolic (2 somons).

Pictures of rulers are done in gold in order to highlight their regal status. The fence has a decorative but historical character.

It is a most beautiful place, in which you can see many interesting plants and structures.

The fountain is in the shape of a staircase or a waterfall. Behind it is a pond, whose surface is already frozen over.

Autumn is still in the air. Leaves crumple under your feet, but the trees are so richly endowed that their nakedness is not alienating. The colors around us are so vivid, as if they didn’t want to let winter in.
To be continued…

Beautiful images. I must visit this garden one day.
