[inspic=49,left,fullscreen,thumb] One of the central – the oldest ones – streets in Astana, former Tselinograd (City of Divine Lands) is named after the prominent culture and literature figure of Kazakhstan, great Kazakh humanist Abai. There is his monument – on the intersection of Abai and Republic Streets, paying no attention to the sharp wind, Abai is standing, caught with deep thoughts. Interestingly, his outlook is changing when he is pictured on the national currency, in the history textbook or in the stone.
