Sky in Almaty – despite smog – is very beautiful and unusual, and sometimes scary. Out of town it gets even more fantastic and mystical.

Sky near the Molodejnaya mountain.
The clouds are below you, so it looks like you can walk on them!

The Big Almaty Gorge. Sun is so bright that even clouds look dark.






I think this may be the single most beautiful post we’ve ever had on neweurasia!

I am not sure about the attractiveness of sky through the smog. These photos are awesome.

Hahaha well, perhaps the smog just adds more “atmosphere” to the photos. ;)
