Turkmenistan’s hidden Islamists, part 4: new video of the 2008 shoot-out

Abdulaziz, whom I interviewed earlier this month, has posted new videos of the 2008 shootout in Ashgabat and the body of Ajdar on his YouTube account.
The most important video is the one shown here, at the top of this post. According to Abdulaziz, this has been newly received and was filmed at the water plant during the shootout privately by a member of the state security service.
These are videos of Ajdar (Aždar)’s body in the morgue. Viewer discretion is advised.
-Syrtlanlaryň eline düşen Arslan jesedi
-Gurbangüliň gorkuly düýşi
-Türkmeniň gahryman ogly Aždar
This video gives some insight into the Turkmen Islamist worldview. It shows images of burning hellfire, the destruction of the earth, sorrow, and paradise, while the narrator refers to Turkmen security services officers as “dogs” and predicts the eventual collapse of the regime.

Even if these guys were fundamental Islamists or not, nobody can accept the pressure on family. This event shows that family is the most precious thing one has in life and people can choose radical measures to solve their anger. Both government forces (those young security guys who chose to work for KNB for coolness and feelings of power) and these guys are actually victims of the current horrific system which might in the end destroy the current elite itself too.
