We may not have strong export oriented industrial complex, which would be affect first. However, many Kyrgyz people became dependent on remittances from Russia and Kazakhstan. Those two countries felt the crisis more than us but money coming from there was almost 19% of our GDP!!!!!!! (World Bank) Now imagine such contraction in GDP...that was one of the primary reason for deflationary tendencies we have been witnessing for the last year..to recoup that lost purchasing power will take several years.
