The [post-revolution] situation in Kyrgyzstan remains relatively stable

…says the acting (of acting (!)) minister of Interior Affairs Bakytbek Alymbekov, who is replacing the acting minister of Interior Affairs Bolotbek Sherniyazov, who is on sick leave.
After the recent events in Kyrgyzstan, when the ex-president Kurmanbek Bakiev was ousted by a big crowd of angry people, many of whom died when attacking the White house, that followed by a night of looting in capital city Bishkek, the situation in Kyrgyzstan was not stable. Foreign media, especially Russian ones, constantly stated that Kyrgyzstan was on the edge of civil war.
This is not strange given the Provisional government’s slow reaction and inefficient work with media. But finally, last week, it seems the Provisional government ordered all the ministries, especially the ones directly dealing with security issues, to work closely with media. May be therefore, the acting (of acting) minister of Interior Affairs agreed to meet with mass media.
During the press-conference, the acting minister said the situation in Kyrgyzstan remained relatively stable, and the law enforcement institutions are keeping order in all parts of the country, except few places both in the South and in the North. In addition to this, the spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Affairs Rahmatillo Ahmedov informed that the capital city Bishkek is being patrolled daily by the army and police, which I witnessed with my own eyes, as several journalists, including me, were allowed to accompany them during their patrol.
Apologies for the bad quality of the video, as it was recorded to a tiny mobile phone :)
