Women’s Blog launches an Internet competition

A Women’s blog of Uzbekistan with the support of United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has launched an Internet competition for the best essays entitled as “Our beloved women�. Their motto is “Every woman in Uzbekistan deserves to be spoken about in Mass Media�. In order to take part in the competition the only thing you have to do is to write about a woman, who causes in you a feeling of deep respect, inspires you every day, about the woman who has left indelible memories in your life. It can be your mother, sister, wife, neighbor, teacher, girlfriend, grandmother, etc. The essays will be published in the Women’s Blog of Uzbekistan, and the best three works will be awarded prizes from UNDP – 1st place: an MP3 player; 2nd palce: a flash card; 3rd place: a special set from UN.
Send your essays to lannamartirosyan [at] gmail [dot] com no later than October 15, 2007. Essays less than 750 words will not be accepted for consideration. The essays can be both in Russian and Uzbek language.
