  • In August 2012, Bactria Cultural Centre started a one year fellowship program for youth willing to get experience and skills in music management. A call for applications was launched late July 2012, and young people interested in music and project management were invited to apply. Six were selected to participate after an intense selection process. The fellowship program is part of the project “Strengthening and Diversification of the Music Production in Tajikistan” (supported by International Fund on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, UNESCO)”. Considering the importance of capacity building in music and arts projects management, the initiative is also supported by Global Music Centre (GMC, Finland), providing training, consultancy, equipment and funds. The methodology of the trainings and learning-by-doing process for the fellowship is established and implemented by an international curator, Ekaterina Puzankova, music projects manager at PRO ARTE (Saint-Petersburg, Russia) in liaison with Bactria Cultural Centre.
